Hurricane Disaster Kit
People facing a disaster like Katrina would want to be fully prepared before fighting for their life. FEMA has related the website, www.ready.gov to assist Americans in planning for disasters. In this video we’ll show you how to assemble your very own Hurricane Disaster Kit.
Supplies in a Hurricane Disaster Kit Include:
- One gallon of water per person, per day, for at least three days.
- At least three days worth of non-perishable food
- A battery-powered/hand cranked radio
- Flashlight and Batteries
- A First Aid Kit
- Dust Masks
- Toilet Paper
- Garbage Bags and Plastic Ties
- A Wrench or Pliers
- One Can Opener
- A Map
- Your Cellphone
Once you’ve obtained all items, gently place them in your Hurricane Disaster Kit and store it in an easily retrievable location, so that when disaster does strike you’ll be ready.
